anthologies of short stories
We have published five anthologies of short stories
with our first book coming out in 2015. Our most
recent anthology, Soft Shadows, Faint Footprints,
published in November 2021, is a collection of
stories set in Northamptonshire. All are currently
available to buy from Amazon UK and all good
online bookshops.
Tales of the Scorpion (2015)
Tales of the Scorpion is a collection of short stories
and poems, each with a twist or a sting in the tail.
Stories include Guido's Door, a disturbing about a
haunted prison; Queen of Swords, a tale about
emotionally confused Tarot readers; Deborah's
Diary, the secrets of a mass murderer; A Different
Types of Service, one of several stories feauring
passionate love triangles; Making an English Lady,
fun and frolics at a mediaeval orgy; Learnin' the
Family Business, the blooding of a young member of
the Mafia set in 1920s' New York.
Thirteen stories and ten poems comprise this first
anthology from Northants' Ink, a writers' group from
Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, England.
While Glancing out of a Window (2016)
Forty-five short stories. Nine poems. Two scripts.

shocking and authentic. This is the fourth
anthology by Northants Writers’ Ink, a group based
in Wellingborough, England.
Soft Shadows, Faint Footprints (2021)
Soft Shadows, Faint Footprints is an affectionate,
wonderfully varied anthology of short stories set in
Northamptonshire. It explores the county’s rich
history, its present day, looks forward to its future
and re-introduces some long-lost ghosts.
