NORTHANTS WRITERS’ INK
Northants Writers’ Ink meets at the Friends’ Meeting House, St. John’s Street, Wellingborough, NN8 4LG. You are assured of a warm welcome that includes plenty of encouragement from a supportive group of fellow writers. Meetings are structured around an ambitious calendar of events which includes challenges set by members, writing competitions, workshops and presentations and members’ responses to challenges which are read out and critiqued during meetings. Northants Writers’ Ink members write in a variety of genres and styles which makes for a great learning environment for all as well as for interesting responses to challenges. Members enjoy great success with their writing and want to support fellow writers to achieve similar success. Support on developing your writing to publication standard is always available. 2022 calendar 10th January: Member’s writing and critiquing 24th January: Member’s writing and critiquing 21st February: Annual meeting; Workshop on promoting your book 7th March: Member’s writing and critiquing 4th April: Collaborative writing 9th May: Member’s writing and critiquing 23rd May: Writing paranormal fiction 13th June: NWI Summer internal writing competition 4th July: Building worlds 18th July: Member’s writing and critiquing 15th August: Life writing workshop 5th September: Member’s writing and critiquing 19th September: Show, don’t tell 17th October: 8th NWI anniversary internal writing competition 17th November: Workshop - Building tension 21st November: Member’s writing and critiquing 12th December: Christmas evening

The group is linked to the Earls Barton Literary Festival. Workshops on writing led by NWI members have featured in the 2018 and 2019  festival programmes.
